About
I specialize in neural dynamics and computation, exploring the mathematical roots of distributed
compositional representations across diverse systems—from cortical regions to swarms and local computing
scenarios. My research focuses on emergent phenomena, self-organization, plasticity, and collective behaviors,
probing nonlinear dynamics to uncover stable computations and memory mechanisms. I'm driven to reveal
foundational algorithms and structures that stem from minimalistic principles, currently exploring the
emergence of spatio-temporal languages in distributed systems and sequential processing in cortical regions.
Moreover, I have a passion for distributed high performance computing, GPU programming, and computer graphics.
Bio
I am a researcher in
Yasser Roudi's SPINOr Group at the
Kavli Institute for Systems Neuroscience (KISN)
and a postdoc in Benjamin Dunn's (Neural) Data Science group at the
Department of Mathematical Sciences.
in beautiful Trondheim, Norway.
Before, I spent almost three years as research scientist at the
Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence, and
obtained a PhD in Computer Science in the
Neuroscientific System Theory (NST) group at TU Munich, Germany.
I've excelled at the convergence of computational neuroscience, computer science, and neuromorphic computing,
specializing in neural computations vital for spatial navigation and perception. My work extended beyond
theory to practical robotics, where I led a team crafting an innovative perception framework for manipulation
robotics. Additionally, I've devoted myself to education, spearheading a unique mentoring program that
incorporates reverse mentoring for higher management.
